Accounts Receivable Clerk
I worked in the collections department where I did accounting for accounts receivable and accounts payable. I reviewed and pursued outstanding credit requests (e.g., mailing notifications and contacting patients, insurance companies or attorneys about credit due to the medical office). Also, I evaluated and reconciled patient accounts from legal settlements. After a year of work in collections I was given a new job as an attorney specialist. I worked through phone conversations and meetings to resolve patient issues with outstanding credit accounts.
